Motozuma, is an online automotive savings company that helps buyers save, and find incentives, loans and insurance when purchasing their new or used car. It's an entirely new way to shop for a car and we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Application Developer to guide and direct complex platform decisions in building the next generation of this automotive savings company.
Based in downtown Detroit, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the coolest and most happening projects in the automotive savings space, contribute to marketing and advertising campaigns, and other stuff sure to challenge and delight you.
As a Senior Software Engineer/Application Developer at Motozuma, the ideal candidate will have a very strong C# development background as well as extensive database development background. The candidate should have solid architectural knowledge and be familiar with various design patterns and OOD concepts. The position requires both strategic and tactical skills in providing solutions to the business.
You should have strong Microsoft web development experience (C#, .Net 3.5 & 4.5, ASP.Net MVC, SQL Server 2008, RESTful SOA, Entity Framework, Backbone.js, MongoDB) as well as be well-versed in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, etc.)
About You:
• You can build an ASP.NET MVC environment in Azure as well as local Development and Staging environments.
• You have a solid understanding and extensive experience with multiple development methodologies and which are best to utilize in various software dev scenarios – Agile, RUP, XP, Waterfall et al.
• You have worked on a robust transactional e-Commerce environment for at least 2+ years.
• You have knowledge of payment gateways.
• You can stand up a MS 2008 DB server and can create DB back-ups
• You can write T-SQL as easily as you can write C# code.
• You understand the balance of producing work vs. perfect work.
• You understand Test Driven Development (TDD)
